Spring is in full swing and so is allergy season. The following information can help you utilize your HVAC system to help you breathe easier and live comfortably.
Replace your air filters. A new air filter is able to clean the air that passes through your HVAC system more thoroughly; keeping dust and allergens out of your home.
Keep home humidity levels around 50%-60%. Too much humidity can lead to mold and mildew growth in your home. Dry air can cause allergens and pollution to remain airborne for an extended period of time. Installing a whole house humidifier or dehumidifier to your HVAC system can solve these issues.
Install an air scrubber. Air scrubbers are attached directly to your HVAC system's ductwork and use UV lighting to reduce 99.9% of common viruses, bacteria and allergens.
Schedule regular HVAC maintenance. The overall health of your HVAC unit contributes to your indoor air quality. We recommend having your HVAC unit serviced twice a year - once in the spring and once in the fall.
