  • HVAC Service Technician

    Nauman Inc. is seeking a Full-Time, Residential HVAC Service Technician that will focus on maintenance calls for their service area in Monroe County & Lehigh Valley, Pa.

    This is an opportunity to build customer relationships through repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment while strengthening relationships with Nauman's customers.

    HVAC Service Technician Salary: $16-$32 per hour (based on skill set and quality of work)


    Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly

    Skills/Qualifications:

    •  Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.

    •  High school graduation or equivalent

    •  At least 1 year of experience in service and repair of residential and light commercial HVAC systems (more specifics listed below)

    •  EPA Certification

    •  NORA Certified (a plus-not required)

    •  Related Mechanical skills and diagnostic capabilities (a plus but not required)

    •  Attention to detail, with good written and oral communication skills

    •  Must be available for rotating on-call schedule.

    •  Must prioritize good customer service

    •  Must be willing to work with and learn new technology as service calls are documented using a tablet or phone.


    Job Responsibilities:

    •  Customer focus is our priority! Educating and advocating for customer's home comfort needs is key to success in this position. Technicians must be comfortable making recommendations to customers and explaining financing or payment options as needed. We never sell them something they do not need!

    •  Organize work by studying work orders, diagrams, specifications, drawings.

    •  Test and repair systems by operating the systems; identifying malfunctions; repairing or replacing parts, and components.

    •  Provide accurate diagnosis and honest recommendations to customers.

    •  Keep tools and equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies.

    •  Performing preventive maintenance

    •  Execute authorized work, neatly and on time.

    •  Document detailed work performed.

    •  Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.

    •  Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.

    •  Ability to work independently and in a timely manner.

  • HVAC Installation Helper/Laborer

    Nauman Inc. is seeking Full-Time, entry level residential HVAC Installation Helper/Laborer. 1 year of mechanical or construction related experience is preferred. If you have a passion and patience to learn - this is a great opportunity to enter the HVAC trade and contribute to a dynamic team environment on residential installations.

    Job Qualifications:

    •  Valid driver's license with clean driving record

    •  High school graduation or equivalent (Technical school is a plus but not required)

    •  EPA Certification (a plus, but not required)

    •  1 year of experience in residential HVAC installation, or related mechanical skill

    •  Sheet metal, brazing, and wiring experience (a plus, but not required)

    •  Must possess your own hand tools

    •  Must have strong work ethic and be a self-starter


    Required Skills/Competencies:

    •  Clear oral and written communication

    •  Customer service skills & professionalism

    •  Beginner's understanding of the following HVAC installation:

        •  Setting and starting up small commercial equipment

        •  Testing and minor troubleshooting

        •  Safe and efficient installation of gas lines

        •  Furnace venting procedures

        •  Pressure testing & troubleshooting

        •  Read and interpret commercial blueprints

        •  Minor troubleshooting and diagnostic for: gas furnace, heat pumps, AC split systems, rooftop units, boilers, make-up air units, exhaust equipment, and pool units


    Job Responsibilities:

    Performs manual labor and entry level tasks within a small team environment to complete installation work, on residential and small commercial heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems. Assists a Lead Installer in the Installation of new units or change-outs for existing equipment according to specifications and established safety guidelines. Able to engage with customers professionally during key stages of the installation process and shadow how Lead Installer answers customer questions. Maintains clean and organized workspace, as well as inventory and daily maintenance inspection of company vehicle while in use. May be required to complete formal EPA cert or OSHA training in area of specialty. Interest in entry level learning opportunities in residential and small commercial installation process. Manages no subordinate staff in day-to-day performance of their job. Able to work with supervision from job-site supervisor or division manager on residential and small commercial jobs.
